I'm a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, majoring in elementary and middle school education. Teaching is a passion of mine, and I have been honing my skills since I started a tutoring program at my high school. I tutored on campus for Panther Academic Support Services for five semesters. I have been in five different Milwaukee Public Schools classrooms as part of my teacher education program, observing and learning from the classroom teacher and students. My latest (and final) school is Golda Meir Elementary in a sixth grade math and technology classroom. I will graduate in May, 2013, with certification to teach first through eighth grade, as well as additional certifications to teach middle school math and social studies.
Technology is another one of my passions. I stay updated on the latest developments in the Android and Windows operating systems, desktop computer hardware, and consumer electronics. I have built my own computer from start to finish, using components I hand-picked for my needs. I provide computer and technical support to a local mechanical contractor. My duties include troubleshooting hardware and software problems, installing and removing hardware, preparing new computers for use, refurbishing and removing old computers, and limited server maintenance. This website is a project I've been working on to teach myself HTML, Javascript, CSS, and PHP.
